Etsubdink Legesse

Etsubdink Legesse was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  Legesse’s work is traditional art on Parchments. Since childhood, Legesse admired her father Aba Legesse Mengistu’s paintings and she always loved art.  She started to assist her father with his work when she began her profession as an accountant and he was her art teacher.  Following her father’s passing, Legesse set aside her accountant profession and began painting.

Etsubdink’s major clients include major galleries in Ethiopia.  Her work can be found in many cultural institutes, art galleries, and Orthodox churches.  Her work is shown in exhibitions in both solo and group shows.  St. George Gallery has exhibited Etsubdink Legesse since 2000.
